Four fiestas
Angono · November
Higantes Festival
Giants walk the Art Capital. Then the ridge goes quiet.
- Peak
- November · Parade Sunday before 23 November · Feast of San Clemente
- Heritage
- Papier-mâché higantes once mocked the old hacienda lords. They are now Angono’s own art — cut, painted, and walked by the same town that keeps Botong and the Blanco studios.
- On the street
- Sunday parade of giants · Feast of San Clemente on the 23rd · Open studios and street ateliers

Higante tablea
House tablea from a named lot. A warm pour when the giants have gone past.
₱ 210
Manila East Road and Ortigas jam on parade Sunday. Climb to Eastridge before 8:00 or after 16:00. Park inside the village — not in the poblacion.
Hold a table the day before. The ridge is the quiet after the street.
Antipolo · May
Antipolo Maytime Festival
The city goes east to the cathedral. You stay one ridge farther.
- Peak
- May · All of May · pilgrimage month · Alay kay Ina
- Heritage
- May is Antipolo’s month: Alay kay Ina, processions, the old invitation — Tayo na sa Antipolo. Pilgrims fill Sumulong. This ridge sits past that climb, with mango from the same province and no drum syrup.
- On the street
- Pilgrimage to Antipolo Cathedral · May processions · Mango and cashew stalls
Where to eat nearby
Maytime mango latte
Rizal mango, iced. A cool glass after the cathedral, not a stall cup on the highway.
₱ 210
Sumulong and Marcos Highway fill all May. Arrive from the east — Angono and Binangonan — and stay on the ridge. Do not drive back through Antipolo at dusk.
Weekday May tables are kinder. Weekends need a hold.
Binangonan · April
Binalayan Festival
Lake and bamboo — the town that sits under this ridge.
- Peak
- April · Town cultural window · confirm the week with the LGU
- Heritage
- Binalayan names Binangonan in one word: lawa and kawayan. The festival shows lake harvest and bamboo craft from the shore below Eastridge. The date follows the LGU; the climb home does not move.
- On the street
- Bamboo craft stalls · Lake harvest and marine goods · Street dance
Where to eat nearby
Lawa greens
Kangkong and herbs from the lakeshore lots. The plate that still names the water.
₱ 259
You are already above Binangonan. After the lakefront, take the village climb. Do not join the coastal crawl back to the city.
A short hold after the stalls. Sunset is on this side of the ridge.
Cainta · December
SumBingTik Festival
Three rice cakes. One town day. The junction locks; the east road does not.
- Peak
- December · 1 December · Cainta Day · feast of Our Lady of Light
- Heritage
- Suman, bibingka, tikoy — Cainta still makes the three cakes by hand on its founding day. The parish keeps Our Lady of Light. The street is a stall line; the ridge is a table that can finish the same three from the house oven.
- On the street
- The three cakes on the street · Founding-day program · Parish feast
Where to eat nearby
Cainta trio
Suman, bibingka, and tikoy from the house oven — not a bag from the junction. Share two ways.
₱ 220
Cainta junction and Ortigas lock on 1 December. Take Taytay–Angono, the old east road. Do not start from EDSA.
Hold lunch on the ridge. The cakes travel; the view does not.
